Turhan Veli AKYOL

Turhan Veli Akyol was born in 1967 in Nikfer, Tavas. He completed his primary school education in Tavas Büyükkonak Primary School and secondary and high school education in Aydın İmam Hatip High School.He was graduated from Faculty of Theology at Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Public Administration at Anadolu Universityand Department of  Public Relations at Anadolu University.

He started his Professional career in Karabük İmam Hatip High Schoolin 1989. After having worked as a teacher and manager in various schools in Tavas, he served as the District Director of National Education in Tavas between 2008 and 2011. Then, he worked as the Provincial Director of Social Studiesand Projects between 2012 and 2013 in Denizli Governorship. Inthelocalelection sheld in March2014,he waselected as Tavas Mayorand  provided his services forthecitizens in Tavas between 2014 and 2019.

Mr. Akyol participated in many courses and trainingssuch as public administration, strategical management and planning and so on. Having conducted beneficial studies in many fields in variousngos, he was awarded with many certificates of success. He had a chance tok now, examine and analyzevarious cultures and activities as well as management visions and perceptions by participating in social, culturaland professional visits and xaminations inside and outside the country (20 cities in 11 countriesabroad, 350 districts in 46 cities in thehomeland). He wasappointed as the Acting Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism in Denizli in December 2019.

He knows English and Arabic. He is marriedand has two children.
